Night Eleven
I seem to be exploring these shapes. And I am looking for ways to play with them without repeating myself.

Night Nine
Today was the first day I encountered some resistance getting to work, but I got through it and painted. I think that the collage elements I introduced into the series are creating a lot surpise and interest. I am excited to continue exploring them.
I suppose I should confess to being influenced by some words of artist Mindy Bray, fellow One-Hundred Day-er. I read a recent Denver Post article where she offered some observations on the art world around her. I continue to return to her idea that artists are seeking out marks which are more personal, more "idosyncratic". I think it relates to my own practice. Check out the full article here.

Night Six
I think a better concept to for this work might be "energy". It aligns with shafts of light, movement, the cosmos.

Night Three
I have a very hard time photographing this work indoors which is necessary today on account of the rain. There is a much nicer color balance and clarity to yesterday's jpeg. Although I am more satisfied with today's drawing.
